New trance samples

I’ve updated the trance music sidebar with a new selection of 6 tracks, plus one more full mix. Click. Listen. Love.

 

I took the old tracks down from the main page, but you can still access them in my blog’s music archives. And for the archives, I’m also posting the new tracks here:

 

• Agnelli & Nelson – Holding On To Nothing
  Wonderful euphoric vocal trance — always puts me in a good mood.
• Li Kwan – Point Zero
  Cool track — playful but mysterious.
• Kyau vs Albert – Velvet Morning (Mirco de Govia Remix)
  Solid, very enjoyable vocal trance track that’s still growing on me. It seems to anchor a lot of good mixes too.
• Astral Projection – Nilaya
  While I don’t listen to a lot of goa/psy trance, AP has some great tracks and this is my favorite. It’s hard, fast, and catchy.
• Delerium – Innocent (DJ Tiesto Remix)
  Good mix of a classic Delerium song. (Catch more Delerium tracks in the archives — can you tell I like Delerium?)
• Underworld – Born Slippy (Paul Oakenfold Mix)
  You might have heard this awesome late-90′s trance anthem, as it’s been in several movies. I have good memories of dancing to this on a large crowded dance floor in the wee hours of January 1st.
• DJ Tiesto – In Search of Sunrise 3 (80 minutes)
  Tiesto is an amazing DJ and this is in my opinion his all-time best vocal trance mix. While almost every track is excellent on its own, the transitions are really well-done too.

Sample some of my favorite trance music

I just added a new feature to this site: if you scroll down the left column, you’ll see a small selection of music tracks hand-picked from my collection, for you to sample. It’s all trance music that I heard on Digitally Imported and liked enough to purchase either digitally or if necessary on CDs.  Right now there are 5 vocal singles there (around 10 minutes each) along with one continuous hour-long mix of dance-inducing intsrumental ear candy. Now and then I’ll rotate different tracks into the page, including new discoveries and old favorites.

 

All of this music is streaming directly from my personal server, for "promotional" purposes only. (Requires Windows Media Player >=9 I think.) I have easily enough bandwidth to support a small plural number of listeners, so this should work fine until my blog suddenly achieves phenominal popularity for no apparent reason. No, you can’t just download it — that would be too easy. If you’re interested in acquiring any of this music through completely legal means then it shouldn’t be hard to find most of it online. Occasionally some items might be slightly obscure — contact me if you need assistance.

 

"Promotional" = I love this music, and everyone else should too, they just don’t know it yet. If you don’t like it, then I guess I could be persuaded to believe it’s an acquired taste that you haven’t acquired yet. Either way, let me know what you think in comments below!

  Great progressive beats and melody. Scratched vocals provide a very unique sound!
• Delerium – Silence (DJ Tiesto Mix)
  Great mix of a classic vocal trance hit you might have heard. Still as beautiful as ever.
• Delerium – Truly (Infusion Remix)
  What was a typical good Delerium trance track has been made amazing by this remix! The sampled and intersecting vocals make it a whole new experience.
• Scott Bond vs. Solarstone – Naked Angel
  Haunting and soaring vocals against a great beat. All-around wonderful track.
• Motorcycle – As the Rush Comes (Sweeping Strings Mix)
  If you’ve listened to any trance music in the last couple years you’ve loved this track. Still gives me goosebumps every time! This is a good extended mix.
• d.a.v.e:// – Pangea (67 minutes)
  I blast this CD in my car whenever I’m feeling sleepy. The mix starts out reserved and eccentric, then keeps building and building with every track better and more energetic than the last! (No vocals.)
